Booster Club Fees
The Andover Boys Tennis Booster club collect fees outside the school registration fee to help enhance the season's experience. Typical items that are covered in a Booster Club Fee are:
- Uniform/Training Apparel
- Team Meals
- Match Snacks
- Tournament Lunches
- Players, Coach, and Managers Banquet Meals
- Coach & Managers Gifts
- Fundraising for Equipment or Facility Upgrades
The fee can be paid either through a check (made out to Andover Boys Tennis Booster)

Luke’s tennis journey began in 6th grade at Oak View. As a 9th grader, he made his debut on the Andover High School team as a doubles player. This season, he’s stepping into his second year at singles competition as well as his second year as team captain. Beyond the court, Luke is a well-rounded student involved in the Chess club, NHS, a
Luke’s tennis journey began in 6th grade at Oak View. As a 9th grader, he made his debut on the Andover High School team as a doubles player. This season, he’s stepping into his second year at singles competition as well as his second year as team captain. Beyond the court, Luke is a well-rounded student involved in the Chess club, NHS, and Leo Club. He also works as a lifeguard and swim instructor at Roosevelt Community Pool. During the tennis off-season, he stays connected to the sport by managing the Andover Girls' Tennis team and playing at the local tennis facility. With his commitment to athletics, academics, and leadership, Luke continues to make a strong impact both on and off the court.

James started playing tennis in 8th grade for the high school team. It was a rocky start as he had never even held a tennis racquetball before then. During that season, through hard work and good coaching (Coach Jen!), he learned to love the sport. Outside of the Boy’s Tennis season, he participates in the program through managing the
James started playing tennis in 8th grade for the high school team. It was a rocky start as he had never even held a tennis racquetball before then. During that season, through hard work and good coaching (Coach Jen!), he learned to love the sport. Outside of the Boy’s Tennis season, he participates in the program through managing the Andover Girl’s tennis team and leading captain’s practices.
James is also on the Andover HS Swim Team and will be captain for his senior year. He is on the leadership team for LEO Club (volunteer organization) and a member of NHS. James is looking forward to a great season with the tennis team.
Andover Coaches
David Leafblad
David Leafblad was hired as the Head Boys' Tennis Coach at Andover High School, bringing a wealth of experience in both tennis and coaching. A former Blaine High School graduate, he has a wealth of northwest suburban tennis experience. He played college tennis at Bethel University and has honed his skills both on and off the court. With a background as a seasonal tennis pro, David has developed a keen understanding of the game, helping athletes enhance their skills and strategies. In addition to tennis, he also has experience coaching college basketball, showcasing his versatile coaching abilities. Passionate about mentoring young athletes, David is committed to fostering a competitive yet supportive environment for the boys' tennis team. David Leafblad resides in Blaine with his wife Ashley, Beckham, and Naomi.
Jeremy Hable
He works at Andover High School and is joining the tennis program this year for the first time. In addition, he serves as a coach for the high school basketball team.
Jen Clark
Works at Oak View Middle School in Andover and has been with the High School Tennis program for over 5 years
